District Assistant
The Wilderness and Watersheds District (WWRD) of the California Conservation Corps is seeking a motivated, hard-working, team-oriented individual who is eager to learn and willing to jump in wherever needed!
WWRD is the newest district of the CCC and is comprised of the two longest-standing special programs - Backcountry Trails Program (BCTP) and Watershed Stewards Program (WSP). We are now hiring for our District Assistant position. This position plays a critical role in the district’s support of the above special programs and has a hand with various aspects of district operations. You will gain experience with various administrative and operational responsibilities, while learning about the California Conservation Corps.

POSITION INFORMATION:
- Pay - $19.00/hr
- Full-time, 40hrs/week, year-round
- Health Insurance provided
- Sick/Vacation leave will be accrued
- Typically, Mon-Fri, with some variations
- Located in Eureka, CA
- Valid CA Driver’s license required
- Requires some physically demanding tasks
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position assists other staff with the following tasks:
- Data entry related to various business services activities
- Inventory management of district and program assets
- File and document management
- Facilities maintenance and groundskeeping
- Vehicle fleet management
- Logistical support of program operations
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Computer skills
- Moderate level or greater proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive), PDF editing software (e.g., Adobe and Foxit Phantom)
- Typing
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Drafting and editing of a variety of documents, forms, reports, etc.
- Typing of professional emails
- Verbal communication with staff, partners, stakeholders, the public, etc.
- Organization skills
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and complete tasks effectively and efficiently
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to create and maintain order (e.g., inventory spreadsheets, various trackers, etc.)
- Detail oriented.
- Driving
- Possess valid CA Driver’s License
