eDiscovery Legal Data Specialist
Summary of the Role:
The Data Specialist will serve as a core member of the Litigation Technology Unit at the USAO in Dallas, TX. This individual will support all facets of eDiscovery, from ESI collection through trial presentation. The role requires technical expertise, legal process knowledge, and hands-on experience with advanced litigation support software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform early case assessment, ESI processing, review, and production.
- Provide litigation teams with guidance on discovery workflows and use of Technology Assisted Review (TAR).
- Load, convert, and process documents using tools such as Relativity, Nuix, and IPRO Eclipse.
- Ensure data integrity and readiness for production and trial.
- Support trial presentation setup using software like Trial Director.
- Create logs, reports, and summaries using discovery tools.
- Collaborate with client agencies to ensure comprehensive data collection and compliance with Department Of Justice (DOJ) standards.
- Conduct document searches using AI-based tools and assist with the development of eDiscovery strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree (or 3 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in litigation support or eDiscovery environments.
- Proficiency in Relativity, Nuix, Cloud Nine Law PreDiscovery, IPRO Eclipse SE, and similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in high-pressure environments.
- Experience in litigation lifecycle and eDiscovery/document review workflows.
- Favorable adjudication for a Department Of Justice (DOJ) Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Department Of Justice (DOJ) or federal litigation experience.
- Administrator-level experience in litigation support platforms.
