Under direction of the Senior Engineer, Water Resources, the incumbent performs construction engineering and inspection duties on the assigned civil engineering construction projects for the State Water Project (SWP) and the Division of Engineering (DOE).

Special Requirements

Must possess a valid California Driver's License and safely operate State and/or personal vehicles as part of the duties of the position. 

 Applicants must be able to travel on short notices including overnight lodging on some assignments and be willing to work irregular and extended hours during outages or emergencies. 

 Range D incumbents in this classification must possess a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
