Geotechnical Engineer in Training (Civil Engineering Deg Reqd)

Please note that this document is NOT an exhaustive list of all the expectations/duties of a Geotechnical Engineer in Training.  Many aspects of our role will be learned on the job. 

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Offered: $25.00 an hour$65k-$95k/year  

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8–10-hour shifts

Job Description: 

  • Coordinate field explorations
  • Perform field logging of soil samples
  • Conduct engineering calculations & support design work
  • Prepare proposals, technical reports and documentation
  • Assist with project execution and provide client support
  • This position will work under the supervision of a Licensed Engineer

Qualifications: 

  • Required: B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering and Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
  • Professional Engineering license is a plus and will be compensated accordingly, but not required
  • Basic working knowledge of construction plans and specifications
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to learn industry-specific software
  • Exhibit strong commitment to work and the ability to contribute positively in a team setting
  • You can lift 40 to 50 pounds.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
