Position Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Student Website Developer and play a key role in building and maintaining web content that supports our academic and community goals. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your technical skills, contribute to real-world projects, and collaborate with staff and peers to deliver sleek, functional, and accessible web experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop website pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Implement and customize CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Wix)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather content and design requirements
- Ensure websites meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design practices
- Maintain and update existing sites, troubleshoot bugs, and optimize performance
- Assist with graphics and multimedia integration
- Participate in regular team check-ins and project planning meetings
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Computer Science, Design, or related field
- Experience with front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS); bonus if you know PHP or React
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic SEO principles
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Portfolio or sample projects is a plus!
