Account Service Manager

Position Summary

As an Agriculture Service Technician III at Meras, you will take ownership of managing customer accounts within your assigned territory. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with a strong focus on customer service, as you ensure irrigation systems operate efficiently and reliably. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment, delivering materials, and supporting installations and diagnostics across various worksites. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Repairs: Perform basic service and maintenance on agricultural irrigation systems.
  • Service Documentation: Accurately log all service activities using Meras service software.
  • Material Handling: Deliver and transfer chemicals to customer sites in compliance with safety guidelines and company policy.
  • Sampling & Testing: Take water samples and deliver/ship to testing labs; perform distribution uniformity tests when assigned.
  • Installations & Support: install equipment and set up remediation operations.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify technical issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate inventory of parts and tools for field work.
  • Tool Care: Ensure all issued tools and equipment are clean, maintained, and functioning properly.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, maintaining positive relationships and high levels of satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Follow all field procedures, safety regulations, and hazardous material handling protocols.
  • Special Projects: Support other departments as needed and complete tasks assigned by your Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent will be considered based on experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience (preferably in agriculture, irrigation, or mechanical services)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to work with tools and machines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Salesforce and smart devices preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Willingness to adapt to schedule changes in a dynamic work environment

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Work in extreme outdoor conditions (heat/cold)
  • Travel to multiple job sites; extended driving required
  • Overtime expected during peak seasons (especially summer)

Driving Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have or able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and HazMat Endorsement prior to employment.
  • A clean driving record
  • Participation in the DMV Pull Notice Program
  • Acknowledge and abide to rules of the Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement
  • Must operate company vehicle responsibly and safely
