Director of Operations

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Lead and optimize day-to-day practice operations to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with practice goals and quality of care standards
- Collaborate with leadership team to establish practice growth targets and create action plans to achieve them
- Monitor and analyze operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling systems
Team Management
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams
- Oversee staff scheduling and workforce planning
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Implement employee development programs to foster growth and retention
HR & Personnel Management
- Partner with PEO to ensure compliance with California labor laws and regulations
- Oversee payroll administration and coordinate with PEO on benefits management
- Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage professional development programs
Staff & Team Management
- Build and maintain a positive, high-performing workplace culture
- Proactively identify and resolve staff-related challenges
- Drive employee engagement and retention through effective leadership
- Handle internal communication and staff concerns efficiently
- Support positive patient experiences through effective staff management and operational excellence
Qualifications:
Required Experience
- 7+ years of progressive operations management experience
- Demonstrated success in building and leading teams
- Track record of implementing operational improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Experience in budget management and financial planning
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn healthcare operations

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field is preferred but not required
- Candidates without formal education who can demonstrate exceptional operational and management experience are strongly encouraged to apply
- HR certifications (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) are a plus
- We value proven experience and demonstrated ability to execute over formal credentials
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation ranging from $105,000 - $115,000 commensurate with experience

This is a full-time position reporting directly to the practice leadership team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can balance strategic thinking with daily operational execution.
