Basic Function

This is a temporary, professional expert opportunity.

Representative Duties

Assist in the distribution of food and supplies to ensure equitable access across all campuses.

Promote the Basic Needs department and pantry services through campus events, outreach, and communications.

Assist students with CalFresh applications, provide training sessions, and serve as a resource for CalFresh-related questions.

Serve as a supportive resource for students, staff, and the campus community regarding student basic needs.

Participate in professional development opportunities and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid California Driver's License.

• Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe or equivalent).

• Familiarity with food pantry operations, Basic Needs programming, or similar services.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory management software.

Special Instructions

Knowledge & Abilities

Working Conditions

• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 80 lbs.

• Frequent travel between campuses within the district.

• Frequent food pickups (e.g., warehouse visits, shopping trips) and food distribution to various campus locations.

• May require evening or weekend availability for special events or emergency operations.
