About the Company:
Synectics is a Sacramento-based provider of data management services for environmental programs. Since 1996, we've worked with federal, state, and local agencies to help them manage environmental data, track compliance, and improve internal workflows. Our work supports scientists, engineers, and program managers in making data-driven decisions.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a part-time intern to assist with internal organization, data tracking, and light marketing tasks. This position is ideal for someone who’s detail-oriented and comfortable working with structured data, internal documents, and occasional visual or web tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Enter, organize, and maintain internal data and tracking logs
- Support sales staff by organizing meeting notes and follow-ups
- Help maintain status records, task lists, and internal tracking tools
- Collaborate with the graphic designer on formatting tasks and small visual assignments
- Assist with basic social media or website updates (copy/paste, scheduling, edits)
- Perform routine file and folder cleanup to keep shared systems organized
- Complete small admin tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Attention to detail and strong organizational habits
- Ability to follow instructions and manage routine tasks independently
- Familiarity with spreadsheets, folders, and shared drives
- Comfortable using email, docs, and basic digital tools
- Availability to work on-site 10–15 hours per week
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to support where needed

Details:
- Paid internship – $17/hour
- Part-time: up to 10 hours/week
- Temporary: Fall 2025 semester (August–December)
- Part-time schedule during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
