International Business Development Support

Employer: Bridge International Consulting LLC

Commitment: ~20 hours per week

Compensation: $35/hr (flexible based on experience)

Location: South Orange County, CA preferred; open to remote for qualified candidates

Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (not a W-2 employee)

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented International Business Development Support Specialist to assist with international research, lead development, early distributor engagement, and digital outreach. This role blends market intelligence, operational support, and communication. You must feel comfortable working independently, handling multiple tasks, and presenting findings clearly.

Preference is given to candidates in South Orange County, CA for regular in-person collaboration, training, and planning sessions. Experienced remote candidates will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

1. International Market Research & Lead Creation/Generation

  • Identify potential distributors, importers, retailers, or strategic partners in global markets.
  • Conduct country-level market scans and organize findings into structured summaries.
  • Build and maintain lead lists and track progress in internal databases or CRM tools.
  • Gather information on competitor presence, market conditions, and expansion opportunities.
  • Prepare clear research briefs and recommendations to support decision-making.

2. Email Marketing Campaigns, Drip Outreach & Reporting

  • Assist with drafting and executing targeted email outreach campaigns.
  • Build and manage segmented contact lists based on research insights.
  • Track open rates, click-throughs, replies, and overall lead pipeline activity.
  • Prepare weekly performance summaries with actionable insights.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and professionalism in all external communications.

3. First Responses to Inbound Distributor Interest & Application Support

  • Monitor inquiry channels for new distributor or partner interest.
  • Provide timely, professional first responses using templates and guidelines.
  • Share introductory materials and coordinate next steps in the application process.
  • Collect and organize required documents and screening information.
  • Update internal trackers to ensure transparent pipeline visibility.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Some initial experience (e.g., internship, entry-level role, academic project) in international business, market research, distributor relations, lead generation, or related fields.
  • Strong written communication and professional email etiquette.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
  • Capable of conducting structured online research and summarizing key findings.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Slack, Mailchimp, Dropbox AI and CRM tools are a plus (some training available).
  • Genuine interest in sports, global markets, sporting consumer goods, or international expansion.
  • Additional language skills are a plus
