Intern, Wealth Management

 

Location

Cottonwood Heights, UT

 

Hours and Duration

Two-semester internship: September 2026-April 2027, Part-time – 20 hours/week

 

Responsibilities

Investment

  • Investment manager due diligence
  • Participating in investment manager calls
  • Drafting manager call notes
  • Portfolio performance tracking
  • Private equity deal flow tracking and deal comparison
  • Other investment tasks and projects as needed

Administrative

  • Client onboarding
  • Client service requests
  • Meeting scheduling
  • Other administrative tasks and projects as needed

Planning

  • Financial plan data entry, modeling, and analysis
  • Updating existing financial plans
  • Other planning tasks and projects as needed

Other

  • Data entry and reconciliation
  • Creation of financial statements and investment reports
  • Prospecting
  • Attending client/prospect meetings
  • Entering call notes in CRM
  • Preparing meeting materials
  • Training other interns on projects and responsibilities

 

Qualifications

  • Pursuing BS/BA, MBA, or MSF
  • Prefer candidates pursuing either CFP® or CFA
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with financial modeling in MS Excel
  • Prefer experience with eMoney Advisor
  • Prefer experience with Salesforce
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • General accounting and investment knowledge
