Title: Recruiting Coordinator
Reports to: Senior Human Resources Associate
Summary of Position: The Recruiting Coordinator serves as Blach Construction’s primary liaison to universities and early-career talent, managing all aspects of college recruiting and internship programs. This role coordinates recruiting events, campus outreach, interviews, and onboarding that reflect Blach’s culture and values. The Recruiting Coordinator supports end-to-end college recruiting initiatives, recruiting events, and builds strong relationships through exceptional customer service, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a positive and lasting impression of Blach Construction.
Typical Duties
- Serve as the sole point of contact for universities, student organizations, and faculty partners.
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage all recruiting events, including career fairs, information sessions, jobsite visits, and on-campus meetings.
- Travel to universities across Northern and Southern California to represent Blach Construction and identify strong candidates for Blach’s internship program and entry-level roles. (35-40% travel)
- Conduct first-round interviews and help evaluate candidates for company culture and role alignment.
- Manage logistics for Blach’s summer internship program, including orientations, training sessions, check-ins, and engagement events.
- Organize and facilitate early-career training programs
- Assist with coordination of employee onboarding
- Provide administrative and coordination support for company-wide recruiting efforts, including scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate logistics, managing calendars, preparing interview materials, and serving as a point of contact for candidates and internal stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain HR and recruiting content on Blach Construction’s Intranet.
- Track, organize, and maintain recruiting documents, candidate data, communications, and files for easy team access.
- Support strategic HR initiatives that enhance Blach’s growth and talent development efforts.
- Assist with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives related to recruiting and outreach.
- Manage design and production for recruiting materials, apparel, presentations, and event collateral.
- Assist with data entry and maintain accuracy in HRIS systems.
- Ensure compliance with HR and recruiting policies and procedures.
- Support miscellaneous HR and recruiting projects assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; able to interact professionally with students, employees, faculty, Blach employees, and hiring managers.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn and grow within the recruiting field.
- Understanding and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative, solutions-oriented problem solver.
Location: Northern California (Bay Area) with travel required throughout California and light travel to other neighboring states (Colorado, Nevada)
Position Status: Full-time, regular business hours, non-exempt.
