On-Site Mobile App QA Tester (Part-Time Student Role)

 

📍 Carlsbad / North County San Diego (On-site): This is an onsite role. Please do not apply if you are unable to come onsite to work in our office in Carlsbad, CA

💵 $18–$22 per hour

We are a fast-growing health-tech company building mobile apps used by millions of users worldwide. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy college student to join us as a Mobile App QA Tester. This is a great opportunity to gain real industry experience in mobile app development, quality assurance, and UX.

This is an on-site role in Carlsbad, CA — perfect for students attending MiraCosta, Palomar, CSUSM, UCSD, SDSU, or other nearby colleges.

What You’ll Do

  • Test our iOS and Android apps across multiple devices
  • Run test cases, perform exploratory testing, and document results
  • Identify, reproduce, and report bugs with clear steps/screenshots
  • Verify bug fixes and test new features
  • Provide feedback on usability and overall user experience
  • Assist the product team with organizing test builds and tracking issues

What We’re Looking For

  • A current college student (any major welcome; nursing, health, engineering majors a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test instructions
  • Comfortable using mobile apps and learning new features quickly
  • Good written communication skills
  • Reliable, organized, and eager to learn
  • Must be able to work on-site in Carlsbad a few hours per week

Nice-to-Have

(Not required — we can train you!)

  • Prior QA experience (school projects are fine)
  • Familiarity with iOS/Android
  • Experience using tools like Jira, Trello, or similar issue trackers

Hours & Compensation

  • Approximately 8 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
  • $18–$22/hour, depending on experience
  • Great hands-on experience in mobile apps and health tech
  • Opportunity for future expansion of hours/responsibilities
