SideCoach Sports is a youth sports technology company that connects college athletes with youth athletes for private lessons, while also building purpose-built software for university athletic programs to manage camps and related operations.
Founded by former Division I athletes, SideCoach Sports exists to expand access to elite coaching, empower college athletes to monetize their expertise, and provide universities with technology that saves time and improves operational efficiency for camps and events.
The company is backed by a private investor and is in an early-stage, fast-moving phase of growth. This role is designed for someone who wants to help build a company from the ground up.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Go-To-Market leader to work directly under the CEO and play a critical role across sales, partnerships, athlete onboarding, marketing, and strategic execution.
This is a high-exposure, high-ownership role. You will work closely with university partners, college athletes, and internal leadership to help grow SideCoach Sports from the ground up. As the company scales, this position is expected to evolve into a formal leadership role, with responsibility for managing future hires and owning key functions.
This role is ideal for a recent college graduate who is ambitious, curious, highly organized, and excited by the opportunity to learn quickly inside an early-stage startup.
Key Responsibilities
Go-To-Market & University Partnerships
- Support sales efforts and outbound initiatives to universities and athletic programs
- Help manage and maintain relationships with existing university partners
- Serve as a point of contact for feedback, product requests, and operational improvements
- Assist in onboarding new universities and supporting successful launches
Athlete Growth & Ecosystem Development
- Recruit and onboard college athletes onto the SideCoach platform
- Help athletes set up private lessons and camps
- Coordinate logistics, communication, and scheduling for camps and events
- Ensure a high-quality experience for athletes using the platform
Marketing & Customer Retention
- Help manage a marketing and promotions budget
- Execute outbound email campaigns for customer retention and re-engagement
- Support promotional initiatives for camps, lessons, and platform growth
- Work closely with leadership to test, measure, and iterate on marketing efforts
Data, Analysis & Strategic Support
- Review and analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities
- Build and maintain Excel models, trackers, and dashboards
- Assist with PowerPoint slide decks for internal planning, partners, and investors
Cross-Functional & Leadership Development
- Act as a generalist across operations, sales, marketing, and strategy
- Take initiative on new projects and problem areas as they arise
- Over time, help train and manage new hires as the team expands
- Contribute to building SideCoach Sports’ culture, processes, and standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 full-time internship
- No full-time experience post-graduation required
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Comfort working directly with customers and external partners
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-changing environment
- Willingness to take initiative, push boundaries, and own outcomes
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience working with customers, sales, or partnerships
- Familiarity with startups, athletics, or youth sports
- Comfort reviewing data and drawing basic insights
- Willingness to learn basic coding or analytics tools (e.g., R)
- Experience building slide decks, reports, or models for leadership
