Join Our Recreation Team as a Basketball Referee or Scorekeeper!

The Smithfield City Recreation Department is seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to serve as Basketball Referees and Scorekeepers for our youth and adult basketball leagues.

Whether you enjoy officiating the game or keeping things running smoothly at the scorer’s table, this is a great opportunity to stay connected to community sports while earning extra income.

Position Details

• Pay: Up to $25 per hour, based on experience and assigned duties
• Schedule: Evenings and weekends during the basketball season

Key Responsibilities May Include

• Officiating basketball games and enforcing league rules (Referees)
• Managing scorebooks, clocks, and official game records (Scorekeepers)
• Promoting fair play, sportsmanship, and a positive environment for players and spectators
• Communicating effectively with coaches, players, and recreation staff
