What we're looking for:

Youth MOVE Nevada is looking for a passionate young adult (18-26) with lived experience in disability, mental health challenges and/or substance use recovery in Reno, Nevada. If you’re ready to use your experience to support your peers through mentorship, advocacy, and systems change, we want you on our team! 

 

What You’ll Do:

· Be a mentor: Connect with and support youth who are navigating challenges similar to those you’ve overcome.

· Amplify youth voice: Help young people speak up for themselves and shape the services that impact their lives.

· Drive positive change: Use your lived experience to strengthen and improve Nevada’s System of Care for youth mental health.

· Build community partnerships: Collaborate with organizations and professionals to raise awareness and make sure youth receive the support they deserve.

Qualifications:

  • Lived experience in mental health, behavioral health, or substance use
  • Passion for helping and uplifting other young people
  • Experience (or willingness to learn) with Nevada’s System of Care, youth advocacy, and working towards systems change
  • Ability to connect with youth, community groups, and professionals in a meaningful way
  • Positive attitude and a team player!
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking and outreach
  • Ability to work flexible hours (including some evenings/weekends)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Work Location: 4600 Kietzke Lane, I-202, Reno, Nevada 89502 (in-person)
