In-School STEAM Instructor

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced educator with strong classroom management skills to lead a 15-week STEM and computer skills program for elementary students. We provide the curriculum and equipment; we need a professional who can lead a group, deliver a clear lesson, and keep students engaged.
The Schedule
- In-Person Teaching: Monday–Friday
- Prep Time: Includes 1 hour prep/administrative time per week.
- Calendar: We follow the school calendar. No sessions are held (and no installment pay is issued) during scheduled school holidays or breaks.
- Pay: Up to $2,570 per month (Paid in consistent $1,285 bi-weekly installments).
- Term: This is a fixed-term contract.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the Room: Lead a class of [Insert Number] students, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Deliver Lessons: Guide K-5 students through pre-planned STEM activities and basic coding (Scratch, etc.).
- Prep & Organize: Spend 1 hour a week reviewing materials and ensuring the tech lab is ready for students.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: You must have experience managing a classroom of 15+ children (Teacher, Substitute, or Lead Camp Counselor).
- Dependability: Consistent attendance is vital for this 15-week project.
- Clearance: Must be able to pass a background check and TB test.
