About Us
The U.S. is in the middle of a physician shortage crisis. One in four people lack access to essential frontline care - whether it’s primary care, psychiatry, pediatrics, geriatrics, and more. And the shortage is only getting worse: we’re on track to be 100,000 doctors short in the next decade.
Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are stepping in to fill that gap. As the fastest-growing profession in healthcare, NPs are delivering essential care and starting independent practices to serve their communities. However, starting and running an independent practice has been a bureaucratic nightmare until now.
Prax Health makes it seamless for NPs to start, run, and grow their own practices - from formation to scale. We’re building the largest network of independent NPs, powered by the leading tech stack for independent providers. If you’re passionate about making a real impact in healthcare, let’s talk.
Role
The Clinical & Revenue Operations Associate owns high impact initiatives that are foundational to NP-led practice growth. This is an early-career role with real responsibility from day one, including doing the work, building the systems, fixing what’s broken, and scaling what works.
Dive into claims, crush denials, implement system fixes, and work directly with payers and clinicians to get it done. Turn priorities - billing performance, compliance launches, state expansion - into clear plans, sharp workflows, smart dashboards, and measurable results.
Initial Projects
You will step directly into high-priority initiatives that are foundational to our growth, including:
- Insurance RCM Operations - Own RCM workflows. Troubleshoot bottlenecks in claims data. Call payers to identify and fix problems. Communicate with clinicians for cleaner claims. Partner with engineering (and leverage AI) to ship improvements. Drive real gains in denial rates, DRO, and collections.
- Medical Compliance - Manage compliance programs and policies for medicare and delegated credentialing initiatives
- State Expansion - Fuel our growth from 12 to 50 states. Including assessing which plans to offer based on market, strategic and operational needs, and adding selectively. Lead payer credentialing and operational rollout.
- Medicaid Pilot (Stretch) - Tackle one of healthcare’s most complex payers by helping stand up a high-impact Medicaid pilot in a single state (EOY, business depending).
