Associate Attorney, Defense Litigation

Job description

A well-established California-based defense litigation law firm in Woodland Hills is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its team. This is a full-time, in-office position offering meaningful case responsibility, mentorship, and long-term growth.

Practice areas include: corporate defense, civil litigation, personal injury, construction defect, employment, and business disputes.

Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal briefs
• Develop case strategy and advise clients
• Participate in depositions, client meetings, and settlement negotiations
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and support staff

Qualifications:
3–10 years of litigation experience (PI, construction defect, or commercial litigation preferred)
• Experience in a law firm environment with billable hour requirements
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Active California Bar membership in good standing
• Courtroom experience a plus
• Detail-oriented and team-focused

Compensation & Benefits:
$120,000–$175,000, DOE
Quarterly performance bonuses
