Junior Staff Accountant

Boutique Accounting Firm in Cardiff-by-the-Sea is searching for a junior staff accountant to round out our team as our company continues to grow.

Our ideal candidate would have 1-5 years of accounting experience, strong computer skills, advanced excel skills, a love of numbers and an analytical soul. Perfect position for someone working on their accounting degree or recent graduate, looking for practical experience.

Prior experience in QuickBooks Desktop, QBOL or Sage50 (Peachtree) accounting software a plus.

Our company provides exceptional, personalized accounting services to a diversified client base. Our services range from weekly/monthly accounting and custom financial reporting to setting up new accounting systems, software consulting, forensic and multiple-year reconstructive accounting projects.

We provide an extremely comfortable, friendly work environment, located one block from beautiful downtown Cardiff.

Duties may include the following:

Data Entry and Bank Reconciliations
General Ledger Reviews
Creating Journal Entries
Create and Maintain Excel Spreadsheets
Accounts Payable/Bill Payments/Vendor Reconciliations
Accounts Receivable/Applying Customer Payments to invoices
Payroll Entries and reconciliations
Preparation of 1099s

Compensation:

$20-25 per hour to start based on experience. Part-Time to Full-Time, Flexible Hours.

Paid Holidays, Vacation and Sick Time
