Computer Technician
Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
Job description:
Position Overview:
We are looking to expand our team with a motivated Computer Technician who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing computer systems and related equipment. This role involves diagnosing technical issues, supporting both hardware and software, and ensuring systems operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of technical tasks from basic support to advanced troubleshooting
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Conduct advanced repairs and system diagnostics
- Install and update software on various devices
- Test, track, and manage inventory for internal equipment use
- Assist drivers with pickups or deliveries as needed.
- Complete additional duties as assigned to support team and business needs
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or willingness to obtain
- Associate degree or formal training in a related field preferred
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role is a plus
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- High level of attention to detail and organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Foundational understanding of computers and electronics
Physical & Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Capable of performing physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
