Project Engineer Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Project Engineer Intern to support our project management and field teams on active construction projects. This role provides hands‑on experience with both office and field operations, offering exposure to scheduling, documentation, coordination, and construction processes from start to finish.

This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field who want real‑world experience in commercial construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing, processing, and tracking RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders
  • Maintain project logs including RFIs, submittals, inspections, and material tracking
  • Support quantity take‑offs and estimating activities
  • Help develop and update project schedules, including look‑ahead schedules
  • Participate in jobsite walks, documenting progress, safety observations, and field conditions
  • Assist with as‑built drawings, daily reports, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes
  • Support project closeout activities such as punch lists, O&M manuals, and warranty documentation

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tools is a plus
  • Willingness to work on active construction sites
  • 50% travel
