Social Media Manager

Core Responsibilities

Social Media Management (Instagram / Facebook / TikTok)

Create, schedule, and publish consistent short-form content (posts, reels, stories)

Engage with followers and community (comments, DMs, reposts, tagging)

Utilize hashtag strategy and location tagging to increase visibility

Promote Mindful Works products, pop-ups, classes, volunteer opportunities, and mission impact

Newsletter Support

Draft and send newsletters (monthly)

Support marketing of events, promotions, donations, and community updates

Photography + Content Capture

Photograph products, in-shop content, events, and seasonal inventory

Build and maintain an organized photo/video content library for ongoing marketing use

In-Person Coordination

Attend one in-person work session per week for content capture and marketing alignment

Coordinate with Mindful Works staff on upcoming promotions and needs

Supervision & Workflow

Reports to: Executive Director, Susan Williams

Biweekly check-ins recommended for planning, approvals, and alignment

Trial Period

Initial 60-day trial period, followed by evaluation of:

consistency of output

quality of content and alignment with brand voice

growth in engagement/reach

ability to work independently and meet deadlines

collaboration with staff
