AP Microeconomics / AP Macroeconomics Instructor

Young Scholars is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging AP Microeconomics / AP Macroeconomics Instructor to work with high-achieving high school students preparing for the AP exams. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about economics and experienced in teaching advanced, college-level material.

Responsibilities

  • Teach AP Microeconomics and/or AP Macroeconomics in small-group or one-on-one settings
  • Prepare students for the AP exams through structured lessons, practice questions, and exam strategies
  • Explain complex economic concepts clearly and effectively
  • Assign and review homework, practice exams, and essays (as applicable)
  • Track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with academic staff to align curriculum and pacing

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Economics or a related field (Economics major/minor preferred)
  • Prior experience teaching AP Microeconomics and/or AP Macroeconomics strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with motivated students
  • Responsible, punctual, and professional

Schedule & Format

  • Weekday (Mon-Fri: 9-6 PM) and/or weekends (Sat: 9-6 PM)
  • In-person and/or online (based on availability and student needs)
  • Flexible scheduling
