Job Functions: Assist Project Engineering staff with new product development projects, product updates and cost-out initiatives.

 

Accountabilities: 

* Planning and execution of new product development projects

*  implementing product updates

*  maintaining product documentation

*  Executing Engineering Change Orders

Other Job Duties:

* Plans, develops, implements, and ensures execution of projects and individual goals.

*  Collaborates with other Engineers and staff to maximize project success.

* Reports project progress, status, and issues to lead or project management and other stakeholders, escalating issues for resolution as necessary.

* Follows HAWS Commercialization Process to execute projects and develop high-impact products.

* Ability to analyze problems, develop a problem statement, and create commercially viable solutions.

* Understand and comply with applicable regulatory requirements for each product or project.

* All other duties as assigned

Computer Skills: Strong CAD skills with proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD or DraftSight (preferred). Competence is Microsoft Office is required. Understanding of PDM, FEA, and inventory management software is a plus.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in a University or Community College. Preferably working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of one year of college in Mechanical Engineering degree program, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Language Skills: The ability to read, analyze and interpret technical manuals and procedures. Ability to write business correspondence and procedures. Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in verbal, written or diagram form.

Work Environment: Office and warehouse environment. Physical presence is essential for position.
