Front-End Software Engineer

BeaconFire is a technology consulting company based in Central New Jersey. We specialize in software development, web development, cloud technologies, and data solutions for Fortune 500 and enterprise clients.

We are seeking motivated entry-level Front-End Software Engineers who are passionate about building modern web applications and eager to grow in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, and Node.js
  • Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and secure code
  • Build reusable UI components and improve application performance
  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
  • Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality
  • Research new technologies and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
  • Stay current with modern web development best practices and frameworks

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM field
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Java, Python, C++, or C#
  • Basic knowledge of Git or other version control systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. or eligible for employment sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, academic, or personal project experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
  • Experience with testing frameworks or automated testing is a plus
  • Passion for learning new technologies and building high-quality software

Compensation

$65,000–$80,000 per year
