Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Palo Alto Network Security Engineer to design, implement, migrate, and operate enterprise and cloud network security environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, cloud security architectures, firewall migrations, dynamic routing, and hybrid connectivity.

This position requires someone who can work independently with minimal acclimation and has strong experience across enterprise, hybrid, and multi-cloud security environments.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience with Palo Alto Networks security platforms, including physical firewalls, VM-Series, Panorama, Device Groups, Templates, Template Stacks, and/or Strata Cloud Manager.

5+ years of experience with NGFW technologies, IPS, App-ID, User-ID, URL/content filtering, and SSL/TLS inspection.

3+ years of experience with cloud network security technologies across AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and/or OCI.

5+ years of experience with cloud traffic inspection architectures, including GWLB, TGW, security VPCs, Azure hub-and-spoke, NVAs, and UDR.

4+ years of experience deploying and operating cloud firewalls, network virtual appliances, and native cloud security controls.

5+ years of experience implementing and operating hybrid connectivity using dynamic routing such as BGP, AWS Transit Gateway, Azure ExpressRoute, or equivalent private interconnects.

Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, network services, and enterprise security technologies.

Strong understanding of network security monitoring, threat analysis, high availability, and fault tolerance.

Experience with network security automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) certification is required.

Preferred Background

Candidates should have a strong combination of enterprise firewall engineering, Palo Alto Networks administration, cloud security architecture, network routing, hybrid connectivity, and automation experience. Experience migrating legacy firewall platforms to Palo Alto Networks environments is highly valuable.

Candidates are expected to require minimal acclimation to the role and should be able to contribute independently from the start.
