Social Media Content Creator
Job Summary
Hashira Studios is looking for a Content Creator to help bring our officially licensed anime apparel collaborations to life through engaging, fashion-forward photo and video content.
This is an internship with the opportunity for full time employment.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely understands anime, fashion, and internet culture and can translate those interests into content that feels authentic to fans. From cinematic product storytelling and styled shoots to fast-paced TikToks, Reels, behind-the-scenes content, and paid social creative, you’ll help shape how each Hashira Studios collection is introduced and experienced.
Our approach to anime apparel is made by fans, for fans. We reimagine wardrobe staples through subtle references, character storytelling, and thoughtful details that allow the IP to live naturally within the garment. We want our content to follow that same philosophy—creative enough to excite the fandom, but elevated enough to stand on its own as fashion content.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of anime culture and fandom; being an active anime fan is highly preferred
- Strong interest in fashion, streetwear, photography, and visual storytelling
- Experience creating short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social platforms
- Ability to shoot and edit high-quality photo and video using professional cameras and/or mobile devices
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software
- Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, music, transitions, composition, lighting, and other elements that make short-form content engaging
- Ability to understand an anime, character, or collection concept and translate its themes, references, and visual identity into content
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively during photoshoots and content days
- Able to recognize emerging social trends while adapting them to fit Hashira Studios rather than simply copying trends
- Portfolio or examples demonstrating strong creative taste and content execution
- E-commerce, apparel, streetwear, anime, or entertainment experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Concept, shoot, and edit original photo and video content for Hashira Studios' licensed anime apparel collections
- Create content for Instagram, TikTok, paid social advertising, product launches, website campaigns, and other digital channels
- Develop creative concepts that connect each collection to the characters, themes, visual motifs, and memorable moments of its respective anime
- Produce a mix of cinematic/editorial content, product-focused videos, styling content, behind-the-scenes footage, social-first concepts, and trend-driven creative
- Help plan and execute collection photoshoots and campaign content, including locations, shot lists, styling concepts, props, talent, and visual references
- Capture garment details and design elements in ways that help fans understand and appreciate the references incorporated into each piece
- Edit multiple variations of creative for organic social and paid advertising, including different hooks, pacing, formats, and lengths
- Work closely with the creative and marketing teams to develop content around collection reveals, teasers, launches, restocks, and key moments in the anime calendar
- Collaborate with models, influencers, UGC creators, photographers, and other talent when needed
- Stay current on anime, fashion, streetwear, TikTok/Reels trends, editing styles, memes, and fandom conversations
- Help establish and evolve the overall visual language of Hashira Studios across social media
What We're Looking For
You don't need to know every anime ever made, but you should be the kind of person who understands why the details matter to fans.
We're looking for someone who can take a character, scene, symbol, or theme and ask: "How do we turn this into content that a fan instantly connects with?"
The right person has strong creative instincts, understands what performs on social media, and can balance anime fandom with a more elevated fashion perspective. We don't want our content to feel like traditional merchandise advertising—we want each collection to feel like its own world.
