Part-Time 8th Grade English Teacher

Job description

An established private preparatory school in Arcadia, California, is seeking a charismatic part-time 8th-grade English teacher. Classes are small, with fewer than 15 students. All teaching curricula will be provided.  Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays. Class time is 4 pm to 6 pm.  

We prefer applicants

  • Have finished a Bachelor's degree
  • Be versed in classroom management
  • Ideal applicant is credentialed or preliminary credentialed
  • Have 6 months of teaching experience
  • Have experience working with either elementary or  middle school-aged students
  • Commit to a set teaching schedule until December 18, 2026

Positions:

  • 8th Grade English in Arcadia on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
  • 7th Grade in Arcadia on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
  • 9th Grade English in Arcadia on Mondays and Wednesdays
  • AP Calculus Workshop Teacher on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Rowland Heights
