Volunteer Program Assistant

Since 1971, A New Leaf has faithfully worked in service to our mission of “Helping Families…Changing Lives,” making a positive impact in the lives of more than 24,000 people each year in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.  Services focus on HEALTH, HOUSING, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES, offering a continuum of support to move households from crisis to long-term health and stability. A New Leaf continues to grow to respond to needs in our community by developing comprehensive, relevant and effective services for vulnerable and underserved families, children, and adults.

Pay Rate: $15/HR

Schedule: 5 hours a day (Between 8am-5pm)

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: 

  • High School or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • Data Base management and strong technical skills & experience preferred
  • Detail oriented/good communication and organizational skills
  • Efficient/deadline driven/good time management skills/ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to drive personal vehicle for program business preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the onboarding, offboarding and compliance process for new volunteers & interns
  • Collect, track, and update required documentation to keep in compliance with agency requirements
  • Assist with new applicant screening & placement process as needed
  • Sustain volunteer information in the data base (Volunteer Impact by Better Impact)
  • Sustain online recruiting tools and support recruiting plans as requested
  • Coordinate & track completion of New Intern & Volunteer Orientations
  • Assist with coordination and tracking of volunteer training
  • Answer inquiries about the Volunteer & Internship programs
  • Assist with preparing materials and presentations as needed
  • Participate in professional development training and with professional associations as appropriate/approved.

Compliance/Requirements:   

  • Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation, preferred.
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance, preferred.
  • 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record, preferred.
  • Must Be At Least 18 Years of Age
