Associate Division Order Analyst

Valero is looking for an Associate Division Order Analyst to join the Lease Crude Accounting team at the Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. Under immediate supervision, this position accurately creates and maintains division of interest ownership. This position: 

  • Maintains accurate and complete ownership records, which includes obtaining applicable legal documentation affecting changes in title for new and existing leases.
  • Reviews, interprets and processes complex title documentation such as title opinions, assignments, operating agreements, deeds, probate, and other legal documents to determine appropriate division of interest.
  • Computes and updates decimal interest for parties entitled to receive proceeds from sale of oil and gas production in PRA to ensure accurate distribution of monthly royalty payments.
  • Prepares division orders and is responsible for obtaining properly executed division orders prior to distribution of proceeds.
  • Authorizes suspension or release of royalty payments based on legal documents.
  • Functions as the primary contact in responding to inquiries from interest owners and operators through telephone conversation and written correspondence.
  • Reviews and resolves problems associated with ownership issues.
  • Interacts with other individuals within the Lease Crude department and other business units regarding lease crude and division of interest.
  • Coordinates work to meet monthly deadlines for accurate and timely distribution of revenue.
  • Assists in any division of interest related projects or reporting required for business purposes.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications -

  • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio headquarters, required.
  • 1 year of Division Order, Oil and Gas Land Administration, or related legal experience required.
  • Bachelor's or higher level degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Division Order Administration and/or Division Order Analyst Certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
