ORS Agent, Compliance Agent I (Customer Service Unit)

Contribute to our communities by helping the Utah Office of Recovery Services (ORS) in their mission to promote responsibility; to provide child support services and support for children in care to help ensure parents are financially responsible for their children. 

The Customer Service Unit (CSU) in the Taylorsville ORS office is looking for a dedicated person to work as an ORS Agent, Compliance Agent I. They are responsible for answering phone calls from clients and providing case and policy related information while utilizing strong customer service skills.

 

Principal Duties

The ORS Agent, Compliance Agent I:
 

  • Provides exceptional customer service to clients over the phone
  • Educates and explains case actions, policy, and procedures in a clear and concise manner
  • Responds to client inquiries while complying with ORS Policy and Procedures
  • Conducts research to analyze facts, and apply knowledge of the Office of Recovery Services rules, regulations, and policies

  • has exceptional customer service skills
  • has strong communication skills in verbal and written form
  • has telephone etiquette skills
  • possesses excellent typing skills
  • is able to enter data into a computer system using computer software programs including web based, spreadsheet, and word processing
  • is able to interpret, clarify, explain, and apply agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal and state laws and regulations
  • is able to stay focused while working in a fast paced work environment

Physical Requirements

  • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.

Working Conditions
 

  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
