Material Management Analyst Intern

 

Salary Range:  $53,246 - $66,869

Summary

The Material Management Analyst Intern serves in a key role providing expertise in a broad range of responsibilities in the management of equipment, materials and supplies inventories, issues and receipts.  Responsible for developing and administering Supply Chain based training curriculum and providing technical support and oversight of T&D Service warehousing locations.  This position assures materials management and inventory SOX controls are in place, compliant and followed, including oversight of the Annual Inactive, Excess, and Obsolete program. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Directly or through others, the incumbent:

  • Provide technical support for Oncor’s warehousing operations
  • Analyze, develop, and support Oncor’s Supply Chain strategies
  • Participate in planning, forecasting, and analysis of Supply Chain material requirements
  • Develop, summarizes, and communicates key findings to Supply Chain management
  • Ensure compliance, accuracy, and alignment to group performance expectations
  • Participate in developing and executing cost saving initiatives
  • Support Oncor's emergency restoration efforts
  • Process physical inventory counts and reconciliation measures.
  • Retrieve and analyze supply chain related reports
  • Learn and possess general knowledge of Oncor Construction Standards.
  • Develop and possess organizational skills, the ability to make timely decisions and
  • take appropriate action.
  • Promote effective working relationships with other departments, suppliers, and clients
  • Maintain proficient computer skills in Maximo, WaAM, Velocity and Microsoft Suite
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conducting, planning and scheduling work activities
  • Processing work orders in COMPANY’s designated work order system
  • Process warehouse receipts, transfers, and issue transactions

Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Classification as a Junior or Senior in a Bachelor’s degree program in supply chain, material management or other related field is preferred. Minimum GPA 3.2 preferred.
    • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Supply chain, material management internship experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

  • Responsive to internal and external stakeholders
