CSU STEM VISTA STEM Communications Coordinator

Are you interested in marketing, communications, and sharing information with incoming students about available university-based supports and services? Cal Poly Humboldt (CPH) is seeking a STEM Communications Coordinator in the Academic and Career Advising Center and the Place-Based Learning Communities Office. These offices support students as they start their academic journey at CPH. This role is part of the CSU STEM VISTA program. As a member of this cohort, you will take part in a learning community of VISTAs across the California State University system. Our one-year program is designed to promote your growth professionally and personally as you create and enhance programs for STEM students. All projects within CSU STEM VISTA are focused on eliminating race, class, and gender disparities in STEM undergraduate degree and STEM Teacher credential programs. You will be trained to utilize sustainable, asset-based approaches that engage students of color, students from low-income communities, and students who are the first in their families to attend college.

As a STEM Communications Coordinator, the VISTA will assist with developing new marketing strategies, coordinating campus-wide outreach, and creating new communications that specifically target STEM students. In addition, the VISTA will explore new opportunities for both current and prospective students to engage with a variety of student support services.
