Job Summary

 

Support the Systems Specialist Campus Printer technician in managing all campus printers. Assist staff, faculty, and students with printer configurations, toner replacement, and technical issues at the Solution Center.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Assist the Systems Specialist Campus Printer technician in troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning printers.

• Manage toner replacements for campus printers.

• Provide support in maintaining on-campus printers, including hardware, configurations and network issues.

• Assist students, faculty, and staff in completing tasks or solving problems when contacting the Solution Center.

• Assist with device checkouts using the Koha program and reset each device upon return.

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software packages and operating systems on college-owned computers, including Macintosh and Windows-based PCs.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

• High School graduate.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• A strong collaborative working style and ability to work well within a team.

• Ability to adapt to new situations and technologies and to thrive in an unstructured environment,

• Ability to regularly lift and move printers and computer equipment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's degree, A+ certification

• Familiarity with HP and Lexmark printers

• Experience with a print release system - Papercut Hive

• Understanding of both Macintosh and Windows platforms.

• Ability and desire to learn quickly and continuously.

• Experience in an academic setting,

• Familiarity/experience with image creation and deployment software and/or tracking calls using the SDP ticketing software.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

 

• Band 00; $15.50 to $19.25/hour
