Whole Champion Foundation internship is a part-time paid position for anywhere from 5 to 10 hours per week.  College credit can be given through an intern’s college but needs to be arranged by the intern.  Interns are asked to commit to an entire quarter or semester, which ever academic calendar their college is operating on. Interns are asked to sign an NDA to safeguard confidentiality of WCFs client data and interactions. NDA also covers work done for KVELL the book also owned by Barbara Edelston Peterson.

 

Part-Time Social Media Coordinator

Location: Remote and on-site in Montecito

Hours: 5-10 hours per week

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a creative  (strategic thinker) Social Media Coordinator to help manage and grow our online presence across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, digital marketing, and audience engagement.

  • Campaign Support & Strategy
  • Develop and schedule engaging content (graphics, videos, reels, and written posts) for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (Twitter).
  • Ensure brand voice and messaging are consistent across all channels.
  • Write compelling captions, hashtags, and calls to action to drive engagement.
  • Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.
  • Foster a sense of community by interacting with followers and industry influencers.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics (engagement, reach, followers, and conversions).
  • Make data-driven recommendations to improve content strategy.
  • Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns for events, product launches, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social efforts with overall business goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1-3 years of experience managing social media for brands or organizations.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Suite, or other content creation tools.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with paid social media campaigns is a plus.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in influencer outreach or collaborations.
  • Knowledge of email marketing or basic video editing skills.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later).
