Role: System Integration Engineering

Role Summary:
Pebble is seeking a passionate and hands-on System Integration Engineering to join our growing team.
You’ll support the installation, bring-up, and integration of electrical and software systems both on the bench and in-vehicle. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a cross-functional team and gain exposure to the development and validation of cutting-edge electric vehicle systems in a fast-paced startup environment.
This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate with internship experience or practical, team-based project work in automotive competitions like Formula SAE, EcoCAR, Baja SAE, AutoDrive Challenge, or Solar Challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the build-out, bring-up, and maintenance of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches
- Support the integration of electrical systems and software features in prototype and production vehicles
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure seamless system operation
- Help execute basic failure mode tests (FMEA) and assist in documenting results
- Participate in troubleshooting and debugging hardware/software issues during integration
- Support vehicle builds, testing, and issue resolution during development and manufacturing
- Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and integration plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Internship or hands-on experience through programs such as FSAE, EcoCAR, RoboCar Rally, IAC, or World Solar Challenge
- Comfortable working with basic test equipment (e.g., multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes)
- Exposure to automotive communication protocols such as CAN or LIN
- Basic understanding of EV components like batteries, control units, sensors, and actuators
- Eagerness to work in a collaborative, hands-on environment and solve complex problems
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with wiring, harness installation, or working with HV systems (training will be provided)
- Experience with data acquisition tools, CAN analyzers, or software integration tools
- Exposure to systems thinking and validation/testing methodology
