Operations Specialist (on-site)

OVERVIEW:

Under the supervision of the Operations Administrator, this position is responsible for Daily Charge Backs, DDA Non-Posted items, ACH returns for DDA Non-Post report, Verifying Money Market & Savings Account Excessive Items Report, Teller Balance Reconciliation, Verification of Deposit/ Bank Reference Letters, Notice of Levys/Freezes, Research for Subpoenas & Summons, Branch Capture, along with other miscellaneous responsibilities.

Job Description

  • Provide excellent customer service over the phone.
  • Address customer’s inquiries and questions.
  • Process and monitor NSFs and unposted items, chargeback items, dormant account release requests, and stop payments.
  • Process tax levies, garnishments, freezes, subpoenas, and summons.
  • Prepare adjustments to encoding errors and fraudulent items.
  • Follow bank policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for charge offs and recoveries.
  • Reconciles checking accounts to the general ledger and prepares journal entries.
  • Complete mandatory training and required responsibilities to have knowledge of complete lines of products and services.
  • Review customers’ account activity to ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer relations skill
  • Detail oriented, time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Cooperates with management and peers to accomplish team and Bank goals.
  • Must be a team player and ability to resolve problems and conflicts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and/or Power Point
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or completion of GED
  • 1 year of financial services experience preferred
