The City of Vacaville is currently recruiting to fill vacancies for Customer Service Representative I (PT) in our Parks & Recreation Department.
The Customer Service Representative (PT) provides service to the public by addressing their needs and offering information. Some examples of job tasks are as follows:
- Monitoring facility or room calendars and assisting with scheduling
- Operating computerized recordkeeping systems
- Performing light typing and composing brief correspondence
- Overseeing inventory and availability of supplies and equipment
- Checking in participants and setting up equipment
- Processing program registration
- Answering and routing calls
- Keeping work area neat and tidy
- Keeping front counters and lobby updated with current marketing materials and seasonal decor
This is a fast-paced position that requires resourcefulness, professionalism and teamwork!
Salary Information
Customer Service Representative I (PT) $17.00-$19.68/hour

Part-time positions are paid an hourly rate and can work up to a maximum of 129 hours per month. Part-time positions are at-will, are not eligible for health or retirement benefits and do not accrue leave time, with the exception of State-mandated sick leave (40 hours per year).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain knowledge and abilities would be:
Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Experience: None required. Some public contact experience, including general office and/or cash handing experience, is desirable.
License: Select positions may require the possession of a valid California Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record as conditions of initial and continued employment.
