Part-Time IT Intern – Service Desk Support
Position Summary:
We are looking for a part-time IT Intern to join our Service Desk team. This position is perfect for someone who is new to IT and wants to gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting. You’ll work closely with our IT team to assist with basic tech support tasks and learn essential skills along the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic IT support to users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Help with setting up and troubleshooting computers, printers, and basic software.
- Assist with simple network issues and basic system access problems.
- Track and update help desk tickets as you assist users.
- Help maintain the IT equipment inventory and assist with equipment moves or setups.
- Learn and assist with software updates, antivirus updates, and system security.
- Document common issues and solutions to help build our knowledge base.
- Help with basic mobile device management tasks.
- Assist the team with any special IT projects or tasks as needed.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently studying or recently completed coursework in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of how computers, software, and networks work.
- Familiarity with Windows OS. (Mac operating systems is a plus).
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to help others.
- A positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn.
- Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
- Occasional on-call support may be needed.
- Office location: Southlake, Texas
- This is an in-office role. Remote work is not available.
- Possibility based on need at the end of internship for a permanent position.
